第一段 Exhibited in the cartoon is an alarming scene that a man with an axe is cutting down a tree with all his strength, only to find that he shares the same root, or fate, with the tree. The cartoonist is warning us that, anyone, be he noble or humble, who sacrifices the nature for instant benefits, is actually endangering his own future. 

第二段Under the ridiculous appearance of the cartoon is a principle that we should be on good term with the nature, otherwise we may commit suicide if we keep destroying it.  Unfortunately, the cases against this principle are pervasive.  It is not uncommon to see wildlife overhunted, forests cleared, rivers polluted, air stained, and even the environment ruined, which may pose some negative impacts on the ecological, social, and personal wellbeing.

第三段We are supposed to take actions to raise the awareness of natural protection, but how?  Measures proposed by the public involve the penalties on environmental destructors, and the rewards to protectors. Actually, we should also beaware that the nature is the space where we be, and where our descendants survive. We may go extinct without it! With the restricting, encouraging and reminding from the above measures, we are definitely to achieve a brighter future.
